Nadi Yoga 200hr Vinyasa Teacher Training provides graduates with a solid foundation and set of effective tools to teach yoga while deepening their own personal practice.

The focus of our 200hr training is to provide future teachers with the knowledge of anatomy, alignment and adjustments as well as yoga philosophy, embodiment, energetics and practice. This foundation will serve as a powerful base from which to teach. Our program is committed to the creative process of unlocking each new teacher’s voice so they find their authentic expression and talent.

This training is appropriate for the dedicated yoga student who is ready to take their practice to the next level and begin to teach from their own heart, cultivated wisdom, and embodied experience. With a 20 person maximum attendance students will have individual attention and access to professional trainers as well as the benefits of a supportive community. After completion you will have gained the knowledge, empowerment and experience required for success and undergone your own personal transformation.

New Zealand is one of the MOST beautiful places on Earth. The nature is mind-blowing exquisite, Queenstown is absolutely adorable and full of nature adventures to partake in over the weekends (paragliding!) and the people are just simply awesome.

 Our venue is situated on a unique vantage point at the top of Fern Hill with breathtaking, majestic views over Lake Wakatipu & Remarkables Mountains. Our training space has a spectacular lake view with beautiful outdoor areas at our disposal. 

Accommodations can be arranged for this total immersion or we can offer suggestions and connect you with other trainees if that is preferable.

NIANNA BRAY (ERYT500) is a tantric yogini and international teacher sharing the spiritual wisdom of self-realization with over 18 years of practice and 10 years of teaching experience.

She is fierce, compassionate, openhearted and accessible to all. She lights a fire in the hearts of her students and gives them the tools to tend the cool flame of their own healing and empowerment.

She assisted Shiva Rea in Los Angeles and beyond for nearly 9 years before embarking on a a life of travel teaching. As a graduate from UCLA World Arts and Cultures, Nianna studied ritual performance, movement therapy, dance and culture and brings somatic intelligence to her teaching. In 2007 she was initiated into the lineage of Kriya Yoga, completed her Hatha Yoga teacher training and studied yoga philosophy at the University of Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh, India. She is the owner of Away Inward Retreats (awayinward.com), a boutique travel company that leads global spirit and wellness adventures and does seva work through her nonprofit, childrenweserve.org.

As a women’s empowerment leader she inspires women to awaken their inner Shakti and liberate their sensual female power. A devout student Nianna honors her beloved teachers, lives her message and is a catalyst for momentous shift in the lives of many. She was recently featured on the cover of Yoga Magazine and her classes can be found online at YogaTV Online.

SANDI MURPHY is the Owner of Nadi Wellness Centre and co-director of Soul Journey’s Wellness Retreats facilitated in Queenstown, New Zealand and Bali, Indonesia.

Sandi has over 15 years of practise and has been teaching for 9 years. She is passionate, compassionate, open hearted and gregarious.

Sandi’s classes are dynamic and flowing, eclectic and versatile mostly influenced by the styles of Jiva Mukti, Hatha, Astanga and Vinyasa Flow. In 2006 she graduated from Samadhi in Sydney now know as The Jivamukti Yoga School. She emphasises correct alignment principles but also allows time for restoration, philosophy and moments of stillness. Her classes are infused with poetic analogy, story, chanting, selected music, humour and lightheartedness. Sandi co facilitated her first yoga teacher training in 2015 with Nianna Bray and is enhancing her offerings with further trainings facilitated by Nianna Bray in Women’s Wisdom and Empowerment.

She has been mentored by Jiva Mukti School (Sydney) owner Katie Manitsas, Sue White ( teacher) and Ana Davis owner of ‘Bliss Baby Yoga’ . Sandi has completed yoga intensives with International teachers, Nianna Bray ‘Away Inward Retreats’, Duncan Peak ‘Power Living’, Lance Schuler ‘Inspya Yoga’ and Shanti Murti ‘Ashram Yoga’. Sandi has Qualifications and Certification for Acting for Television and Film, Therapeutic Massage Therapy, Reiki, Enhanced Awareness Programme, Women’s Personal Foundation Programme.

Sandi has been teaching Children’s Yoga for 10 years. Her passion for play and the joy it brings naturally attracts her to the energy of children. Likewise they are drawn to her diverse style which incorporates the art of story telling, song and classical postures in a way that children can relate to. As a mother of two, Sandi has expanded her teaching to include the specialised area of pregnancy and post natal Mums and Bubs Yoga.

200 hr Vinyasa Yoga course curriculum includes these topics and more:

  • Transformational process to unlock and empower your voice

  • Bhakt and chanting
  • Introduction to Yin Yoga, Ayurveda, Restorative and Tantra  

VICTORY!

You will adventure on an inner journey of transformation and come out the other side confident and ready to translate the teachings through your own embodiment, voice, and wisdom. Before completion of certificate you will have two interviews and assessments with myself and Sandi, 2 book reports submitted, additional practice hours, practice teaching hours, observation hours, complete a seva project, create a self practice – Self Sadhana and continued refinement of embodiment. SAMPLE SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday:

  • 8:00 – 10:00 Morning vinyasa practice 
  • 10:00 – 10:15 break
  • 10:15 – 12:30 morning session
  • 12:30 -2:00 Lunch 
  • 2:00 – 3:30 Afternoon Session I
  • 3:30 – 3:45 Tea/Snack Break
  • 3:45 – 6:00 Afternoon Session II

TOTAL PRICE: NZ$ 4800

Essential Follow-up: 2 book reports and reading assignments, class observations, assisting classes, practice teaching hrs, personal embodiment assessment, Teaching Plan, final exam and follow up interview.

Prerequisite: Minimum of 2 years regular yoga practice and an official recommendation letter from a teacher.

Application: We carefully select our teachers in training so that you will be prepared for the curriculum and process.

Price includes: Unlimited access to Nadi Wellness Centre Yoga Classes during the 4 week training period, Training Materials, Teaching instruction, tea & water.

Does not include: Accommodation

Additional costs: Nadi Wellness Workshops or other intensives.
