The Natural Yoga Centre, Auvergne, France

Founded in Australia, The Natural Yoga Centre has been operating since 2008, though it has now relocated to the Massif du Sancy in France.

Principal yoga teacher at the centre Tandy Cassidy started her yoga journey in 2000 after sustaining a back and neck injury from a car accident. Finally completing her yoga training with Vanessa Rudge and Michael Daly from Being Yoga, she learnt the amazing grace and flow of Vinyasa yoga and developed a love of meditation and pranayama.

The Natural Yoga Centre accommodates ten guests and has four ensuite bedrooms, a yoga/meditation room, dining facilities and a healing room.

Located in the centre of the stunning Massif du Sancy Mountain Range in France and surrounded by lakes, river spa sources and the mineral springs of the Dordogne, the centre is rooted in the heart of the Parc Regional Naturel des Volcans d’Auvergne. Born five million years ago, it is home France’s highest volcano.

With sharp crests, steep slopes and peaceful plateaus as far as the eye can see; the surrounding nature is a haven for walkers, boasting six hundred and seventy kilometres of marked footpaths, two hundred and fifty kilometres of French Nordic quality-awarded cross-country skiing, eighty-five kilometres of excellent down hill skiing and one hundred and ten kilometres of mountain bike trails for all levels.
