Ana Davis

Ana Davis is an Australian yoga teacher based in Byron Bay who leads trainings and retreats internationally. She specializes in pre and post natal yoga, as well as kids yoga, and runs a special training program for pre and post natal yoga teaching as part of her Bliss Baby yoga business.

Originally trained as a dancer in her early teens, Ana then discovered yoga in her late teens.  She enjoyed the combination of movement and stillness of yoga that helped support her studies at school.  Since then, for the last 20 years, yoga has continued to be her lifelong companion throughout the various stages of her adult life, including the enormous changes that accompanied her becoming mother to her now 7 year old son.

Before taking up yoga teaching 15 years ago, Ana worked in various fields including television production and Japanese cultural exchange.  Ana has an honours degree in Japanese and was a PhD candidate with her thesis topic centred on Japanese feminism.  In her work now in training yoga teachers to teach pregnant and new mothers, as well as offering women’s yoga and retreats, Ana has been able to bring these two streams of her life together: yoga and women’s issues.

Bliss Baby Yoga

Ana specializes in teaching and training in the niche area of prenatal and postnatal yoga.  She is also passionate about the profound benefits of Restorative Yoga and yoga for women by women.   Ana offers her specialised teacher trainings in Australia and internationally.  She also holds women’s yoga sessions and workshops, and women’s yoga and healing retreats.

Ana is Director of Bliss Baby Yoga, and heads up a team of passionate women’s health professionals, including prenatal/postnatal yoga teachers, Ayurvedic practitioners, midwives, doulas, childbirth educators, physiotherapists and naturopaths. Bliss Baby offers various face-to-face prenatal/postnatal yoga teacher training options, as well as a comprehensive and practical online prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher training.
